I am truly more than disappointed with this supposed 5-star resort. Our reception was absolutely dreadful. We arrived at 9:00 AM and weren't allowed into our room until 4:00 PM because we were told they were doing a thorough cleaning. When we finally got to our room, I couldn't believe my eyes—there were hairs in the sink, and the towels were stained with brown spots. We were given a standard room even though we had booked a deluxe room. After I complained, the cleaning man came and said, "Where's the dirt? It's clean!" until I finally snapped and had to explain to them how I was supposed to sleep in any room after seeing that. ... We're currently here for 15 days, and unfortunately, we have to say we expected significantly more from this hotel. After my first experience in Egypt, I never wanted to come back. However, I wanted to give Egypt another chance, which I now deeply regret, so I'd like to leave earlier. Unfortunately, there are no more flights available, and I have to grit my teeth and bear it. The food here is absolutely terrible. I couldn't eat anything for a week. I booked an all-inclusive hotel for €4,000, and the fact that you can't even eat anything because they serve the same heavily spiced food every day is outrageous. I wonder what justifies the price. The hotel staff are so obsessed with my wife that they stare at her from head to toe, which often caused me problems. We were told that we could go to the sun loungers at 8:00 a.m. and would be guaranteed one. We've been here for a week now, and I went to the pool at 7:00 a.m., and all the loungers were already taken. The guests were on the sun loungers, but they were on the beach all day. I unfortunately had to tell the lifeguard several times that this was absolutely unacceptable and that they needed to pay attention. I was told they would keep an eye on it and that if guests didn't return after an hour, their towels would be taken away. However, this promise wasn't kept. The staff walks around asking what you want to drink, and when you place your order, our drinks are constantly forgotten, while the other guests lying next to us are happily served. This is completely unacceptable. There are small packets of chips in the rooms that you have to pay extra for, and they're not cheap. I wonder why the hotel is so expensive if you have to pay extra for everything. I really don't like to complain, but when you pay so much money and get nothing but a slightly renovated hotel... So, I give the hotel 2 out of 10 stars and will never stay there again. We are really very disappointed.

Hotel it’s perfect location ,lovely staff very helpful.Rooms can’t say enough we were staying in 2000 building deluxe rooms so beautiful Cleaning service perfect .Entertainment girls super so friendly and encouraging especially Amelia💪.one star down because of the food ,for such a big resort not enough choices and not the quality I would expect as well I got upgrade to ultra and still had to pay for original drinks.Up to that the premium cocktails (normal as well )I tried most of them they were no flavour and very flat .Like they don’t know how to make them cos they never tried good one ..Coming to swimming pool they should bring 3 hours no show rule.As we were on the pool many times and seeing sunbeds whit towels for all day but no people showing up .Very unfair for the rest looking for free sunbeds. But overall I did enjoyed so hoping someone will look in to my review and take my point into consideration.

I highly recommend this hotel; the food, service, decor, and above all, the wonderful entertainment and evening shows are fantastic. ❤️ We felt well-cared for by everyone, and we especially want to give special recognition to the entertainer, Amy. 😁 The only downside is that the Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting, even in the lobby area. I had better internet on the beach than in my room.

The room doesn’t have electricity for two times. Every time I had to wait for at least 30min for staffs to fix it. I have asked to change for a room, but the receptionist declined. Now still in the dark and there is no electricity.

Amazing experience at Desort Rose Hurghada! We were based in rooms 8000 close to the private lagoon beach exclusive to the Resort. Very friendly staff, lots of activities for kids and adults, an very good food. Reccomended for families with kids and regular guests!

The room was fine—quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and new, which I appreciated. The housekeeping staff provided good service, ensuring everything was tidy and well-maintained during my stay. Now, let’s talk about the dining experience at The Palm restaurant, where I had breakfast and dinner over my 2-night, 3-day stay. Unfortunately, the first day was quite disappointing. The staff at the pasta station seemed disinterested in taking orders, which was frustrating. Overall, the service felt lackluster, and I left feeling unwelcome. For some food station, it felt like everyone’s treatment varied depending on their race. My family had a similar experience while getting food and shared the same uncomfortable feelings. However, my meals on the following days were better, with no unfair treatment, though the service remained average. the overall service made me hesitant to return to the restaurant. On a brighter note, the resort offers three large swimming pools, which looked inviting, even though I didn’t swim due to the cold season. They provide a calming atmosphere just to relax by. We also enjoyed a show at the theater called The Stage at 9 PM, which had a great vibe and was a nice way to unwind after dinner.

Somewhat outdated rooms. The food is good, there is something for every taste. The staff is ultra friendly.

Staff at the reception is not polite. We booked a room with a pool view and paid extra and didn't get 2. We had booked rooms until the end of the day and those at the reception said from 12-00 the room costs 20 dolers for 2 hours. And we only had the transfer at 11-30 p.m. unfortunately we can't recommend the hotel. Although everything else was somewhat OK.

I can say that it was the best Hotel where we were in Egypt. Everything was great, from Reception to Room (just renovated), Restaurants, Bars... Super Service and super clean . The meals were delicious and most important thing for us in Egypt... The people were really polite without expecting money from you 😉. We can just recommend. This is the first hotel where we would like to come another time.

We have currently just finished our holiday here, and we cannot complain about one thing. Every staff member is welcoming and friendly always willing to help, and they always have a friendly smile. The staff cannot do more for you. The food is great loads of different things to try. They have loads of pools with loads of sun beds, a lot for kids and adults to do too. We will 100% be coming back this is by far one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

Desert Rose is one of the places that I love to have a vacation in . The rooms were very good, in my opinion. And I love the greenery everywhere . Palm trees and beautiful flowers everywhere . The pools were clean . The food was very, very good in quality. A variety of food . The food was very delicious. I loved the blue beach very much. The staff were very friendly. This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. I wish to come here every year .

The rooms were adequate but the bathrooms need updating but are clean. The food wasn't to my taste and repetitive for my liking but plenty of it to go around the guests. The Setting and gardens are beautiful and everything is kept well. The Staff are all amazing and can't do enough for you. Good value for what we paid .

It's our third time in 4 years at Desert Rose. This place is amazing! The facilities are great, they make good use of the green space (outdoor gym, games area, peddle court, kids playground). A few pools and a small aqua park. Unlike a lot of the other hotels, the food was also really good. Breakfast was repetitive but the other buffets were changed slightly every day and always tasted great. There are a couple of pool and beach bars where you can get some lighter meals (burger etc), those weren't as nice but did the job. Animation program was always nice, also for the kids. Main compliant is the rooms. While still nice and clean, the regular rooms are not 5 star standard. Old furniture, old bathrooms. The superior rooms are much nicer though. Finally, almost all the staff we dealt with were very nice and friendly. With one or two exceptions, no one was actively sitting there waiting for a tip (even if they really were)
