We had the pleasure of spending our stay at the Creta Star Hotel in Crete from October 9th - October 16th and it was an overall positive experience. We were warmly welcomed at the reception. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. From the 4th floor onwards, the rooms are furnished in a modern Scandi style, while the other rooms are a bit old, but are still very clean and equipped with everything you need. You also had a wonderful view of the sea. There were four of us here and while 2 of us stayed in the modern rooms, 2 of us stayed in the rooms that had not yet been modernized, which is why the room rating was 3 stars.The service team in the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The staff were always attentive and courteous and the food was both varied and delicious. We really enjoyed the varied buffets and the themed evenings.We would like to highlight the cleaning staff in a particularly positive way. Not only did they always keep the rooms clean and tidy, but they were also always friendly and respectful.The animation team further enriched the stay. The activities were varied and entertaining and the entertainers really tried to ensure every guest had a great time.Overall, our stay at Creta Star Hotel was a wonderful experience. We can only warmly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our next visit!

After an abysmal two days stay in a previous hotel, we couldn't stay in a better place than Creta Star Hotel. You single-handedly saved my and my wife's honeymoon, for which I'm really grateful. We were staying at first in an older part of hotel, which was a bit dated, but it was spotless clean, A/C was working perfectly, beds were really comfortable, just an overall great ambiance. For last two days, we've moved to renovated part of hotel, and it was luxurious, with beautiful view of the ocean and also had amazing ambient lighting, which we used extensively. Not to mention huge shower and even more comfortable beds, it was perfect for us. Food was a delight, every day we could experience different themes for dinner, which provided much needed variation, there's also a lot of live-cooking stations, which were also perfect, every time we tried anything from them. Desserts were expertly-made and because of them i've gained some kilos, because I couldn't help myself to stop eating them :) Service and staff was also top-notch, attentive, thoughtful and in general most amazing people we could've met on our short trip to Crete. Location is also perfect for some sight-seeing, only 1 hour away from Heraklion and really close to Rethymno, so you can visit both of those cities, to fulfill your historical cravings. The beach, which is near the hotel, has a crystal clear water and was never crowded. We didn't have the time to try every attraction that the hotel had to offer, so we'll be back :)

➕food (very tasty)➖the hotel needs major renovation, especially from the 1st-3rd floorThe smell in the hallway is terribleThe smell in the room is even worse (due to some old age)➖there is also a terrible smell in the closets, it’s impossible to put things there (mine were in a suitcase)➖beds are very badThe shower is very dirtyThe cleaning of the rooms was as follows: making the bed, replacing garbage, that’s all➖there are two pools and they are cold, at this time of year at least the indoor pool could be heatedThere's a lot more I could write, but let's finish here.I would like to wish this hotel prosperity and HUGE changes 🙌

We had a great time in this hotel, especially the food in the evening was unbeatable. Avoid the dessert buffet - unless you want to gain 10 kg. Very tasty and beautifully presented.The staff are all very friendly, but on the day of arrival I found the greeting at reception to be very cold and unfriendly - I'm not used to that at all from Greeks.What I absolutely didn't like: the lounger reservation.Getting a spot on the beach was like winning the lottery - almost impossible.On the day of departure at 5:00 a.m. (!!!) the first guests were out with towels to reserve loungers. I almost couldn't believe it!The hotel absolutely has to react here.Otherwise I have nothing to complain about.We liked it a lot.Oh yes, Skaleta doesn't have much to offer - rental cars are recommended

We loved it! Directly located at the beach, small inside and bigger outside pool. Very friendly personel, great animation team. Very nice restaurant with an outside terrace where we sat almost every meal! And, of course, good food. Always something for everybody.We've been twice now, and we will be coming back a 3rd time! Can't wait (only back for a week now).

We are now in the hotel and when I wanted to take some water from the restaurant to the room ( there isn't any drinking water in the room), the manager told me that I am not allowed to take water from the veding machine outside the restaurant and he told me to go the market and buy it. We are on all inclusive option. Also when I wanted to order lunch boxes because we are going for the whole day trip we can't do it. It is a pity that such small things can spoil the view of the hotel because the food is delicious and barmans are great.

We had a great time staying here. We loved the food. And the room was nice and clean. We really really liked the animation team. Nelly, Stan and Ivatz really made our holiday a lot better they were very lovely and social people. Who would come by for a chat, a coffee or to play a game.We were here for only 7 days but we wished we could have stayed longer.

This hotel is an excellent choice for those looking for a really good adult hotel. You can relax here without children and with more demanding guests. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. It fully lives up to its 4-star rating. The care is absolutely brilliant. Delicious food and drinks are always waiting for the guests. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The surroundings of the hotel can only be described in superlative terms. It has a slowly deepening, mostly sandy beach. We had an excellent week, would go back anytime. The best choice!

I was in Greece for the first time and it was simply perfect, Hotel is quite big (6 floors) but there is a lot of space for everyone to enjoy their holidays. Rooms are clean and big, I had side sea view from the window - 6th floor. Food was diverse, fresh, drinks strong and there were a lot of choices of everything for everyone. Pool is clean, there are enough sunbeds for every guest during the day and there is also a place on the beach with sunbeds and umbrella that belongs to the hotel. The service was always smiling and willing to help. I spent there great 7 days.There were different activities everyday for the guests so everyone could find something extra to do. Thank you again I can highly recommend this hotel , for me it's 99/10 The only little minus for the bad quality coffee, but I took this occasion to had a one week bread with drinking it.
