This is a hotel we will never choose again.
For example, when our child was burning up with fever at night, we were told that the doctors didn't even have thermometers and just referred us to the hospital when we asked for help.
How can a doctor only be there to tell us to go to the hospital? The reception said this and hung up…
Normally, we are a family that doesn't make a big deal out of minor inconveniences during our vacation, but what we experienced at this hotel meant we still couldn't have a comfortable day even on the third day of our holiday.
First of all, instead of the main building, we were offered lake houses, and the rooms in the lake houses were very nice, but our placement was a serious problem for us. Immediately to the right and left of our room, groups of three single men were positioned with sunbeds extremely close together. Moreover, they were entering the pool with cigarettes. We know there was a dealer meeting at the hotel; but these individuals weren't even part of the dealer meeting group. They were the types who were shouting about whether they could have guests in their rooms at night. Placing a family in a section where families stay, among groups of single men like this, and having the common areas so close together was unacceptable. We reported the situation. The next morning at 10:00 AM, we were told our room would be changed and we would have to manage for one night. Since we had come with our child, we had already unpacked our suitcases and settled in. Trusting the stated time, we packed all our suitcases again the next morning and went to reception at 10:00 AM. However, this time we were told, "We can change it at 3:00 PM in the afternoon." After we insisted, despite initially being told there were no available rooms, a room was finally found and our room was changed. If there were rooms available, why did they make us insist and stress us out with our child?
As an apology, the hotel management offered us the à la carte restaurant after much insistence. However, it rained on the day the à la carte restaurant was scheduled to be closed because it was in an open area. We were also told that there were no seats available in the other à la carte restaurants, and therefore they could not help us.
In today's world where weather forecasts are readily available, offering the outdoor restaurant as an "apology" for a potentially rainy day only for it to become unusable due to rain was incredibly frustrating for us. Instead of making amends, they unfortunately made things even more demoralizing. They even tried to give us an unwanted gift, which they couldn't deliver.
Regarding the hotel in general; while the cleanliness of the visible common areas was generally good, the areas under the beds and inside the closets in the rooms were definitely not at the same level. We found a significant amount of dust and dirt under the beds and inside the closets.
The food was generally average. The biggest problem for us was the high concentration of gristle/cartilage in dishes using minced meat and in most meat dishes. In some dishes, it was almost impossible to chew.
However, there are some positive aspects: the 24/7 restaurant is quite good, and the desserts are delicious. The rooms in the lake houses are comfortable and especially suitable for families with children. The amusement park and the abundance of areas for children to play are also nice. Many thanks to the operations manager, Mr. Kadir, and the receptionist, Ms. Dilara, for their kind and thoughtful behavior.
However, from our perspective, all of this was not enough to compensate for the problems we experienced. The first two days of our holiday were spent dealing with room problems and the resulting stress. On the third day, our spirits were dampened again because the à la carte restaurant, offered as an apology, was unusable.
Finally, it's not possible to consider the gift of a bottle of wine, available throughout the hotel, as having compensated for all these inconveniences.
For us, what we expect from a hotel is not just a nice room, pool, and food; especially as a family with children, it's a peaceful and stress-free holiday. Unfortunately, we couldn't experience that here.
We are still at the hotel, and even though it's our third day of holiday, we haven't had a single day that hasn't caused us stress or made us think, "I wish it hadn't been like this."
This hotel is now on our list of hotels we will never choose or recommend again… a hotel where apologies are constantly offered but nothing is resolved.
