I've become a regular at the Xanadu in the Belek district, about a 30-minute transfer from the airport. For me, this resort is one of the best hotels in the area.
The Hotel: In 2026, the Xanadu will celebrate its 26th anniversary. The resort is located in the Belek district, about 5 km from the town center (accessible by domus or taxi via reception, €10).
The hotel consists of a main building and 14 bungalow buildings (each with 16 rooms), allowing for approximately 1,400 guests at any one time. The grounds themselves are very spacious and, in addition to direct beach access, feature a small golf course, a picnic area, various sports facilities, and hiking and running trails. The area, comprised of pine trees and beautiful greenery, is very well-maintained and secure, and its spaciousness ensures that guests are well distributed.
The hotel does not offer an all-inclusive package. Wristbands and towel cards, as well as all special services (e.g., specialty restaurants, spa treatments), can be booked directly to your room. There are several pools (one of which is without music or entertainment), a water park, a children's play area, and a gaming area. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.
Rooms: I recommend a bungalow room. There are several room types available, each with its own unique features. The rooms are air-conditioned and include a shower/toilet, wardrobe, complimentary minibar, seating area, safe, balcony, toiletries, raincoats, bathrobes, and of course, TV/Wi-Fi. Daily room cleaning and replenishment of toiletries and the minibar are provided, as well as a shuttle service to the front desk.
Restaurants included: There are several all-inclusive restaurants on the grounds—from the main building to various snack stations by the pool or on the beach. The food is delicious, varied, and freshly prepared. Since the change of head chef, this is noticeable—it's become more diverse, including live grilling stations.
Furthermore, there are two included restaurants offering Turkish and Italian à la carte dining. A special children's buffet completes the dining options. An afternoon restaurant with coffee and cake is also available, as well as several ice cream stations.
Exclusive Dining: There are three exclusive restaurants offering à la carte dining, seafood, Japanese, and Mexican cuisine, each at €35 per person.
Spa/Shopping: A small shopping area is available, as well as a good spa that guests can use free of charge (saunas, hammam, whirlpools). Treatments such as massages start at €40 and are professionally performed.
Beach: Approximately 2 km of beach with ample sun loungers, sunshades, a jetty with a bar, cassocks, a playground, a beach disco, and restrooms. No vendors on the beach; the area is gated and inaccessible from other resorts.
Other: The resort offers free parking for guests arriving with their own rental car. Golf and sports equipment can be used free of charge. The entertainment program is varied and includes, for example, a weekly BBQ in the woods on the grounds.
Noteworthy: The guest relations manager for German-speaking visitors is incredible—she embodies hospitality, and this hotel should be very grateful to have such a lovely, attentive, and perfectly organized guest relations manager working for the Xanadu.
What could be improved: A few years ago, I happened to meet the hotel manager and expressed my wish that an "adults only" area in the dining room would be great.
This hasn't been implemented yet, but it's more of a personal matter—unfortunately, some guests don't always have their children under control.
